Perspectives on the intersection of contemplation and justice in healthcare
When’s The Last Time You Laughed Out Loud?
Thank you to those who joined us for our Transitions Retreat last week! We stretched our boundaries by trying new things such as black-out poetry and blind contour drawing, as well as sitting in the presence and quiet of a poem St Francis and The Sow by Galway Kinnell. Feel free to take a read and and spend 5 minutes reflecting on what it means to you if you were not able to join for the retreat. Here is a small taster:
"The bud
stands for all things,
even for those things that don’t flower,
for everything flowers, from within, of self-blessing;
though sometimes it is necessary
to reteach a thing its loveliness,
to put a hand on its brow
of the flower
and retell it in words and in touch
it is lovely
until it flowers again from within, of self-blessing..."
And to those of you new here, welcome! We see you showing up to your work everyday, we know you are fatigued and we hope this community can be a place of rest. You are welcome here.
Wishing you the best always,
Anu & Laura
